In this photo you can see the stones installed around the mudroom door.
To install the stones, we "buttered" each piece with mortar and just held it up in place for about 15 seconds and amazingly it just stuck in place.
Here you can see all of the stones in place, but still waiting for the grout to go in between each stone. Hopefully, that will happen this next summer when the temps warm back up. Also, here you can see that the columns have been "wrapped" in metal and the gutters have been installed. Another summer project will be the completion of all the porch and ramp railings along with finishing the deck and maybe even some landscaping!
In this photo you can see one of the chimneys from our wood stoves. We heat with a large wood stove in the basement and then a smaller stove on the main floor. The upstairs is heated with non-vented propane heaters.
We moved in June of 2004.
These are different views of the main floor.
In the mud room, we installed a full length set of pegs for coats. Peter's power chair gets charged in this space also.
In December of 2004 we started the garage just west of the wheel chair ramp. Its a simple post and beam metal building.
